Prerequisites

For a valid registration and completion of certain courses, it is necessary to fulfill the requirements stipulated in the curriculum. In justified, urgent exceptional cases, the following procedure is provided for:

If you do not yet meet the prerequisites for a course in the current semester, write an informal application to the CuKo chairperson requesting admission to the course. The application must include the approval of the course instructor and a justification.
If, at the end of the semester, you still do not meet the requirements stipulated in the curriculum, the approval of the Dean of Studies is also required for an assessment of this course.

Information on Registration

Students must first register for the Musicology degree program and then for each individual course.

At both universities, the University of Graz and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG), there are different deadlines each year for enrolment and registration for individual courses.

At the University of Graz, the registration deadlines can usually be viewed by students in UNIGRAZonline (UGO ) from mid-June (for the following winter semester) or from mid-December (for the following summer semester). There are also generally applicable deadlines.

Musical internship

The aim of this course is to improve the ability to perceive musically relevant parameters through practical experience with music. KUG offers a stylistically diverse range of courses that are specially tailored to the needs of musicology students.
