Declaration of accessibility

1. declaration on accessibility

The University of Graz is constantly striving to make its website accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.uni-graz.at.

2. status of compatibility with the requirements

The University of Graz is currently in the process of completely renewing its website - accessibility is already an accompanying topic during development.
Therefore, the content regarding the assessment of (non-)accessible content will change constantly in the near future.

3. creation of this declaration on accessibility

This statement was created on 10.5.2023 and is constantly updated.

The assessment of the compatibility of the website with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 according to WCAG 2.0 in conformity level AA will be carried out by the beginning of March 2024 in the form of a self-test using the method of thinking aloud with a large number of university members.

4 Feedback and contact details

The content and technical basis of the website are constantly being developed. Usability and accessibility are very important to us.

If you notice any barriers that prevent you from using our website, please let us know by e-mail.

Please send all messages and suggestions to webredaktion(at)uni-graz.at with the subject "Report of a barrier on the uni-graz.at website". Please describe the problem and quote the URL(s) of the website or document concerned.

5 Enforcement procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the above contact option, you can submit a complaint to the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.

Contact form of the complaints office

The complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution attributable to it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must make recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies.
