Voluntary switch from curriculum version 2017W to 2025W of the Bachelor's degree programme in Musicology
The new curriculum will come into force in the winter semester 2025/26. Please take a close look at this and consider whether a voluntary change to the new curriculum makes sense for you.
If you have any questions about the curriculum, please contact the chairpersons of the CuKo Musicology.
- A voluntary transfer to the Bachelor's degree programme in Musicology Curriculum 25W must be applied for at the Admissions Office during the general admission period (by 05.09. for the winter semester, by 05.02. for the summer semester). Please send an e-mail to studienabteilung(at)uni-graz.at with the subject line "Umstieg Studienplan". This change is also possible at a later date, always within the general admission period.
- IMPORTANT: Before applying for a voluntary change to the curriculum version 25W, all examinations of immanent courses must be completed (e.g. seminar paper must be submitted = examination date of the course).
- You can find a complete overview of all recognisable examinations in the equivalence list (appendix of the curriculum 25W).
- After switching to UNIGRAZonline, please check in the "My degree programme" app whether you can assign your positive achievements to the correct modules. The correct assignment is a prerequisite for the modules and courses to be displayed as "positively completed" and to be taken into account in the prerequisite check when registering for courses. You can find instructions for the assignment here. If an assignment is not possible, an application for recognition of the examinations must be submitted. You can find information on how to apply on the Homepage of the GEWI Deanery.
If you want to complete your studies in the old Bachelor's degree programme for the time being or at all, then there is no need for you to take any action. You must complete your studies by 30 September 2029 at the latest. After this date, you will automatically be subject to the new curriculum. Before this deadline, a voluntary change is possible at any time during the general admission period.
Curricula Commission
General questions about the curriculum are discussed in the CuKo meetings. For all matters relating to teaching, curriculum planning or the recognition of courses, please contact the chairperson of the CuKo.
