Musical Practice (Praktikum)

Musikologie in Graz is an academic course. Students are not required to have music performance skills. The musical practice that is required during the program is limited to participation in amateur ensembles. The University of Music and Performing Arts offers several such course units (marked “Musikalisches Praktikum Musikologie” in KUG online) that are tailored to the needs of Musikologie students:
- Amadinda ensemble
- Choir
- Ensemble for jazz and popular music
- Gamelan ensemble
- improvisation
- Mexican marimba
- Percussion ensemble
- Vocal practice
